Thanks to all who came out last night to Ray's Boathouse for another fabulous Twestival Seattle! It was a gorgeous spring evening overlooking the still Puget Sound waters while Seattle's social media community come together to support a remarkable organization, FareStart.
Couldn't make it last night? No worries! You can still join the cause by donating online. Whatever amount you can give, we'll make sure 100% of it gets to FareStart, and we'll certainly give you some mad Twitter love as a token of our appreciation!

Can you help us reach our online goal of raising $2,000 for FareStart on FirstGiving? *Please note that this is IN ADDITION to the $4,780 we've already raised in ticket sales that go directly to FareStart
So far, we've raised $4,780 in ticket sales, $750 in raffle sales (some of which went to hard costs of the event), and $1,080 in the silent auction. All told, we've raised well over $6,000 for FareStart as a result of Twestival Seattle!
We'll post official photos of the night's highlights on our Facebook page soon, but in the meantime, here are a few winners, courtesy of @RL_Wood:

Let’s face it: We couldn’t pull any of this off without our superhero sponsors. Get a peek at these generous souls, and give them a pat on the back in person tomorrow!

Seattle Twestival 2011 is less than a week away, and we still have a few tickets left for the event. But why settle for any old ticket when you can get the coveted Gold level ticket? Here's why it pays to attend as a Gold Donor for Seattle Twestival 2011 this year:
FareStart is a fantastic organization that offers a 16-week training program to prepare homeless and disadvantaged men and women for jobs in the food services industry. FareStart was just named winner of the prestigious James Beard Foundation Humanitarian of the Year award, and has transformed the lives of nearly 5,000 people since its inception.
Becoming a Gold Donor means giving $100 to an amazing organization dedicated to giving back to the Seattle community and giving the homeless a fighting chance.
If that's not enough, we're giving out free goodie bags to our Gold Donors, including a limited edition Fable III wireless Xbox 360 controller (MSRP $59.99). The value of our sponsored merchandise is enough to pay for the ticket itself, and you get to go home with an exclusive bag of great stuff from the Seattle Twestival 2011.Started in 1988 by chef David Lee as a meal service for homeless individuals, FareStart has evolved into a multi-faceted organization that now provides a 16 week training program that prepares homeless and disadvantaged men and women for jobs in the food services industry, as well as a Barista Training and Education Program for homeless, runaway, and street youth.
FareStart operates two of its own dining facilities, FareStart Restaurant, a full service restaurant serving lunch and dinner and FareStart Café at 2100, an on-the-job training site for youth enrolled in the Barista Training Program. Both establishments are highly rated, which isn’t surprising, considering the dedication of FareStart trainers like Chef Sam.
“The tools we give them have to be the very best because we need to give them a fighting chance, a fair start, a chance to start again.” An overwhelming majority, 80%, of FareStart graduates find employment within 90 days of graduating.
